Fornel Recepten is a recipe app for iPhone and iPad, with your recipes on all your devices through iCloud. On your Home Screen the app is called "Recepten". The app is still in development and is being tested through TestFlight; the name is provisional.
What the app does now
- Your library. All your recipes in one list, with search, sorting, favorites, categories, and a trash from which you can restore a recipe.
- Import from Paprika. Export your recipes in Paprika (a file ending in
.paprikarecipes) and open that file with the app, or choose Import Recipes… in the app. Photos, categories and ratings come along. If you later import a newer export, the app recognizes the recipes you already had and does not duplicate them. - Viewing a recipe. Ingredients, directions and photos. You can change the number of servings; the app converts the quantities.
- Cooking. Tap Cook to check off ingredients and steps. A time in the directions, such as "20 minutes", is a button that starts a timer. When the timer is done, you get a notification, even if the app is closed.
- iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, your recipes are on all your iPhones and iPads with the same Apple Account.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices does the app work on?
On an iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later. The app is available in Dutch and English.
My recipes do not appear on my other device
Check that you are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both devices, and that iCloud is turned on for the app. After a large import it can take a while before everything has come across, especially the photos.
I get no notification when a timer is done
At your first timer, your device asks whether the app may send notifications. If you declined, turn it on in Settings, under Notifications and then the app.
How do I delete a recipe?
Choose Move to Trash. From the trash you bring it back with Restore. Deleting permanently within the app is not possible in this version yet.
What does the app cost?
Nothing during the test through TestFlight. There are no in-app purchases.
Feedback during the test
Found a bug, or missing something? Take a screenshot while the app is open: TestFlight then offers to send it as feedback, with a short note. You can also open the TestFlight app and send feedback from the app's page there. Email works too.
Contact
If you cannot work it out, email info@farcon.cloud. Include which device and which iOS version you have, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
